Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Contractor Quote. By using the service or submitting a request, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Marketplace role

Contractor Quote provides a consumer request and matching marketplace. We are not a contractor, home-improvement professional, broker, insurer, lender, employer, or agent of any listed professional. We do not perform, control, supervise, inspect, or warrant home-improvement work.

2. Eligibility and acceptable use

You must be at least 18, able to enter a binding agreement, and authorized to request information for the property. Information you submit must be accurate and lawful. You may not misuse the service, submit another person’s information without permission, interfere with security, scrape the service, transmit malware, or use the service for fraud or harassment.

3. Requests and communications

Submitting a request does not guarantee a match, contact, appointment, quote, price, savings, or project outcome. With the required service-request consent, we may share your project and contact details with up to three independent professionals for that request. Optional automated marketing consent is separate and not a condition of submitting a request or purchasing.

4. Independent professionals

Professionals are independent businesses responsible for their own licenses, insurance, bonds, permits, estimates, contracts, work, warranties, employees, taxes, and legal compliance. You are solely responsible for evaluating a professional and any agreement. Verify licenses with the relevant authority, request proof of insurance, check references, read contracts, and confirm required permits before hiring.

5. Quotes, payments, and disputes

Any quote or contract is between you and the professional. Contractor Quote is not a party to that agreement and does not collect project payment through this prototype. Resolve project questions, cancellations, warranties, payments, and disputes directly with the professional, subject to applicable law.

6. AI-assisted features

AI-assisted tools may help categorize, summarize, screen, or route information. Their output may be incomplete or wrong and must not be treated as professional, legal, financial, structural, or safety advice. Review the AI Disclosure.

7. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy, security, professional qualifications, pricing, workmanship, or results. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so these limits may not fully apply to you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Contractor Quote and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits or data, or damages arising from a professional’s acts or omissions. Any monetary cap, governing law, venue, dispute procedure, and legal entity identity must be finalized with counsel before public launch.

9. Changes and termination

We may modify or discontinue the service and update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a revised date. We may restrict access for misuse, security risk, or legal requirements.
